Welcome to Sore+Tired®. We make doctor-formulated topical magnesium products for people who train, work, and recover hard, and we take the privacy of everyone who visits or shops with us seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it's used, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers on our own servers)
  • Account information, if you create an account
  • Order history and purchase details
  • Any information you submit through contact forms, customer support, product reviews, or our newsletter signup
  • Answers you provide through our Recovery Quiz and any messages you send to our AI Recovery Advisor (see Section 3 below)

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it

  • Pages viewed, time spent on the site, and referring website or search terms

3. The Recovery Quiz & AI Recovery Advisor — How Your Data Is Used

Sore+Tired offers (or will offer) a Recovery Quiz and an AI-powered Recovery Advisor to help you find the right formula — BLUE, GOLD, or a combination — based on your training habits, recovery goals, and how your body responds to activity.

  • What we collect: your quiz answers (e.g. training frequency, soreness patterns, product preferences) and, if you use the AI Recovery Advisor, the questions or messages you type in.
  • How it's used: to generate a personalized product recommendation, to improve the accuracy of that tool over time, and — if you've opted into marketing — to tailor the offers and content we send you.
  • Third-party AI processing: the AI Recovery Advisor may be powered in part by third-party artificial intelligence or language model technology. When you use it, your inputs may be processed by that third-party provider in order to generate a response. We work with providers who are contractually restricted from using your data to train their own general-purpose models, but we encourage you not to submit sensitive personal or medical information beyond what the tool asks for.
  • Not a medical record: information you share with the Quiz or AI Advisor is used for product-recommendation purposes only. It is not stored or treated as a medical record, and is not reviewed by a licensed medical professional as part of the interaction.
  • Retention: Quiz and AI Advisor interaction data is retained only as long as needed to provide and improve the recommendation experience, or until you request deletion (see Section 7).

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it's used:

  • Strictly necessary: required for core site functions like the shopping cart and checkout.
  • Functional: remember your preferences (e.g. items in cart, recently viewed products).
  • Analytics: help us understand site traffic and usage patterns so we can improve the experience.
  • Marketing: used to measure and personalize advertising, where applicable.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of marketing communications and certain data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. Where applicable law (such as the CCPA for California residents) grants additional specific rights, we honor those rights on request.

8. Children's Privacy

Our site and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If we learn we've collected such information, we will delete it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Where We Operate

We currently ship within the United States only, and your information is processed and stored in the United States.
