These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sore+Tired® website and your purchase of our products. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase or create an account on this site.

2. Product Use & Safety Information

Please read this section carefully before using any Sore+Tired product.

Sore+Tired products are for external use only. Keep away from eyes. Ask a doctor before use if you have a magnesium- or potassium-restricted diet. Do not use if pregnant or diabetic, unless advised by a doctor. Where desired effect is not obtained, or where there is evidence of infection or irritation, discontinue use and rinse thoroughly with clear water. If reaction persists, consult a doctor. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.

Additionally: this product is not for internal use — do not ingest. If accidentally ingested, contact Poison Control or seek medical attention immediately.

Sore+Tired® GOLD — additional information

GOLD contains menthol and Boswellia extract in addition to magnesium sulfate and potassium chloride, and produces a noticeable warming/cooling sensation on the skin. Because of the menthol content:

  • Do not use with heating pads, hot water bottles, or immediately before or after a hot shower or bath, as this may intensify skin sensation or irritation.
  • If you have sensitive skin, we recommend testing on a small area first before full application.
  • GOLD is formulated for use on training and competition days and is not intended for daily/everyday use — for everyday use, see Sore+Tired® BLUE, which is scent-free and does not contain menthol.

Ingredients at a glance

BLUE: magnesium sulfate, magnesium chloride, aloe, and cosmetic-grade emollients in a purified water/hydrogel base. Scent-free, no menthol.

GOLD: magnesium sulfate, potassium chloride, menthol, and Boswellia extract in the same hydrogel base.

Third-party anti-doping testing — a note for competitive athletes

Both BLUE and GOLD undergo third-party anti-doping lab testing. This is a genuine and meaningful quality standard we hold ourselves to — but ingredient standards, manufacturing processes, and individual sport/league rules can change, and we can't guarantee compliance with the specific rules of any particular sport, competition, or governing body. If you compete under a specific anti-doping code, please independently verify this product's status with your organization before use.

3. Recovery Quiz & AI Recovery Advisor — Terms of Use

Sore+Tired offers (or will offer) a Recovery Quiz and an AI-powered Recovery Advisor to help suggest which formula may suit your training and recovery patterns, based on information you provide.

  • This tool is informational and educational only. It is not a diagnostic tool, not medical advice, and not a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.
  • Recommendations are generated from the information you provide plus general product information. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recommendation for your specific circumstances — use your own judgment, and refer to Section 2 above for full product safety information regardless of what the Quiz or Advisor suggests.
  • Where the AI Recovery Advisor is powered by artificial intelligence or language model technology, its responses may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your situation. Verify anything important with our team directly or with a healthcare professional before acting on it.
  • Do not use the Quiz or AI Recovery Advisor in a medical emergency. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services or your physician directly.
  • By using the Quiz or AI Recovery Advisor, you agree to the data handling practices described in our Privacy Policy.

3a. Subscriptions & Recurring Billing

Sore+Tired products can be purchased as a one-time order or on a subscription. Subscriptions are optional — one-time purchase is the default selection on every product page.

  • Discount: subscription orders receive 10% off the regular price, applied to every order for as long as the subscription is active.
  • Frequency: you choose delivery every month or every 6 weeks at the time of purchase.
  • Billing: your payment method is charged automatically at the start of each delivery cycle, at the then-current subscription price, until you cancel. We will remind you by email before each recurring order processes.
  • Cancel anytime: you may cancel, pause, or skip a delivery at any time, with no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee. Do this in your subscription portal, using the link in your order confirmation email, or by contacting us at info@soreandtired.com.
  • Timing of changes: make changes at least 2 business days before your next renewal date. Once a subscription order has been billed and given an order number, we can no longer modify or cancel it. You may return it under our Refund Policy if it is eligible.
  • Changes to terms: we may change subscription pricing or terms with reasonable advance notice by email. Any change applies only to orders billed after the notice period.
  • Discount codes: promotional codes, including first-order welcome codes, apply to one-time purchases only and cannot be applied to subscription orders.

4. Use of This Site

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our product formulations
  • Scrape, copy, or republish site content without permission
  • Interfere with the security or normal operation of the site
  • Submit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content through the Recovery Quiz, AI Recovery Advisor, contact forms, or reviews

5. Product Information, Pricing & Order Acceptance

We work to keep product descriptions, images, and pricing accurate, but errors can occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors, update information, and cancel or refuse any order affected by a pricing or listing mistake, even after an order has been submitted or confirmed. Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance — we reserve the right to limit or decline any order.

6. Discount Codes & Promotions

Discount codes and promotional offers are subject to change, expiration, or restriction (such as one use per customer or exclusions on certain products) and cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including the Sore+Tired® name, logo, product formulations, photography, and written content — is the property of Sore+Tired® or its licensors and may not be used, copied, or reproduced without written permission.

8. Third-Party Links & Services

This site may link to or rely on third-party services (such as payment processors, shipping carriers, or AI providers powering the Recovery Advisor). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

This site and its products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sore+Tired® is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or our products, including but not limited to any skin reaction, allergic response, or misuse contrary to the safety information in Section 2.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sore+Tired® harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the site or products, or your violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, including to reflect new features like the Recovery Quiz and AI Recovery Advisor. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
